Medical Facials are a great introduction into cosmetics. Medical Facials provide a thorough, customised cleansing that is sure to relax and stimulate.
At Ministry of Skin, we will provide a comprensive analysis of your skin and discuss with you your skin concerns so we can tailor a facial that will target your concerns.
Ministry of Skin is a RACGP accredited clinic.
Medical facials are different to normal facials. We aim to use them as a treatment for a skin concern or to improve the skin for an upcoming event. Suitable for all ages and skin concerns.
Most people have a combination of skin concerns. Our knowledge of medical ingredients enable us to prepare a facial that can target all elements.
Facials are less of a treatment than a Medical peel but can often include elements that remove the upper surface layers of the skin as a peel would. However it is usually only the very top surface layer of dead skin cells that are removed, like a gentle exfoliation, which leaves no redness or peeling so you walk out looking refreshed.
Medical Facials can be combined with Medical Peels, Skin Rejuvenation treatments, lasers and LED light therapies.
A course of Medical Facials can be used for a number of reasons. They can be a great kick starter for acne or rosacea management or as an ongoing skin maintenance programme, a one off quick glow for a night out or as a therapy to improve the quality of your skin for an event eg wedding.
Facials at Ministry of Skin Australia
At Ministry of Skin we understand ingredients and how they benefit your skin. For this reason we like to talk to you as an individual and understand your specific skin concerns and tailor a treatment to suit your current needs using the ingredients we know work. By doing this we ensure you get results and for us it means we can alter the treatment as we progress with you. For this reason we do not have specific x , y or z facials but blend them for you on the day. This is the difference with a Medical facial at Ministry of Skin Australia – we do not make you fit a product, we design a product to fit you.
How a Medical Facial is done
All facials are individualised to the client. However in general most facials involve the following:
A gentle hydrating cleansing.
A form of micro-exfoliation to remove surface debris to enhance brightness and clarity.
An active product to address your specific concerns ( eg: hydration, stressed skin, acne, open pore, dryness, dull skin, redness, aged and lifeless skin). The products used in the clinic utilise targeted delivery systems to release active ingredients, anti oxidants or repair enzymes into the correct levels of the skin.
The facial is usually completed with a post therapy hydration cream.
An active home skincare regime is highly recommended if you are having a medical facial to help maintain the results and its longevity.
