Veins, vascular spots or small red or blue blood vessels can appear anywhere on the body. They are more commonly seen on the face and legs. They can be large or small and are due to a number of different reasons.
Treatment of the problem involves a medical assessment to identify the underlying cause of the vessels. If the underlying cause is not identified treatment can cause further damage or the problem can recur.
Ministry of Skin is a RACGP accredited clinic.
Common cause of visible veins include but are not limited to:
- Sun damage
- Skin cancers
- Thinning skin
- Vascular inflammation
- Vascular problems or blocked arteries
- High Blood Pressure
At Ministry of Skin Australia we are able to medically assess why you may have some visible vessels and identify the underlying cause to ensure you manage the problem correctly.
